Hi I'm Dan

I'm an Air Force pilot. I have a PhD from MIT. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a military family, so we moved around a lot. I have 4 brothers and a sister, and I enjoyed having a big family. I went to college at the Air Force Academy and then got married. Now we are a military family and move around a lot with our 6 children! I love flying, traveling, reading, and most of all spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe the doctrine. I have had a personal witness that it is true! Because I believe the doctrine I know the purpose of my life; why I'm here on the Earth and what is expected of me here. I know that commandments are given to help us be happy, and to help us become like our Heavenly Father. I also know that the plan we are living is a plan for families. I know that I can be with my family forever. I also know the importance of Jesus Christ in that plan; that he made it all possible, through his sacrifice, because he loves us.

How I live my faith

I am active in my church because I gain strength from others there. That's where I learn, and that's where my family learns about Jesus and his plan for us. The church also gives me the opportunity to serve others. The organization helps me identify people that need help, and offers the structure to help me maximize my efforts. Currently I am working with the youth, specifically as a Boy Scout scoutmaster.
