Hi I'm Samuel Weed

I love living life! Family, friends, food, and basketball is where it's at! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born in New York and moved to Vermont when I was 12. I am currently serving a full-time mission for the church in the Salt Lake City West Mission. I am the youngest of 9 children, 4 boys and 4 girls. I enjoy being outdoors or with my family and friends. I love playing basketball, soccer, and piano. I have been home schooled my entire life. I want to make the world a better place! I plan on going to college and studying something environmental. But who knows what the Lords plan is for me.

Why I am a Mormon

Knowing that we have a Father in Heaven that knows us better than we do and loves us enough that he would send his Son Jesus Christ to Atone for my sins brings such happiness and peace! There is nothing that any of us have done, that we can't repent of. I can promise you that in the name of Jesus Christ! I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Jesus Christ's church restored upon the earth. I know that it was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. And that by the power of God, he translated the Book of Mormon. I know that it is Gods word to us in these latter days. I know that we have a living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, that leads and guides this church. I know with all of my heart that Jesus Christ lives and that he is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I bare you my testimony of these things in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen. "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich." (2 Corinthians 8:9) "Ours is not a feeble message. It is not a fleeting task. It is not hapless; it is not hopeless; it is not to be consigned to the ash heap of history. It is the work of Almighty God, and it is to change the world!" (Elder Jeffrey R. Holland)

How I live my faith

The Savior taught by example. I believe that we need to do the same. I served as a Sunday School teacher for children ages 3-4. I loved being with them! I think they actually taught me more than I taught them. Their love is so pure and they are so meek. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ! It has blessed my life so much. Because of that, I have decided to serve the Lord for two years. I want others to feel of the peace and love that the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His Atonement offers.
