Hi I'm Luke Streeter

I'm from California, I like having fun, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some hobbies that i have are playing baseball, building, and anything automotive. Iv played baseball since i was 6 years old, and i havnt ever given it up since. The game teaches me alot about life and decision making, and it has been such a blessing in my life. When i say i like building stuff, i mean anything. Whatever that can be made out of wood or metal or both, i like contructing things. The way things are put together and connected really fascinates me, and i love working with my hands. Engineering is something that really interests me. I like all things automotive, and that goes back to my love of breaking things down and seeing how they work. I love getting under the car and getting greasy, its just something iv always done. A little grease never hurt anybody. I love just hanging out with friends and kickin it too. Some more of my favorite hobbies are surfing and dirtbiking. I started surfing about a year ago, and i love it. Being in the ocean and trying to ride a wave is challening, but when its done right, there isnt anything that can compare to it. My family went dirt biking all the time when i was younger, and i got hooked. Being in the good old outdoors and flying through the sand just brings a smile to my face

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and i am so fortunate for the opportunites i have been given. I think when every kid is younger they are dragged to church, but it really clicked for me as i got older and life became harder. I had good morals and values to fall back on, and i knew where i stood when it came to drinking and drugs. My testimony of the church hasnt come all at once, but it has come peace by peace. By following the commandments and the doctrine of Jesus Christ, i can tell how positevely the church has impacted my life. My mind is clear, and i know why im here on earth and what my purpose is. It gives me a direction in life, and i know that if i live the standards that the Lord set for me, i can be happy in this life. The Book of Mormon is such a special book to me, because it shows how God cares about each and every one of his children. Through reading the Book of Mormon and praying about the messages that i read, i slowly but surely gained a testimony of this great church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example to others around me. I try to make decisions that Heavenly Father would want me to make, and i try to live my life to the fullest each and every day. I am serving a mission right now in the Texas Lubbock Mission, and i live my faith by sharing it with others. I know that this is the church that Christ set up while he was here on this earth, and it brings me joy to help others found that out. The changes that people make to come to Christ are so amazing and satisfying, and i love knowing at the end of the day that i am slowly making a difference in the world.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Luke Streeter
We dont worship Joseph Smith, although we are grateful for him for restoring the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We love him and respect what he did in his life, but ultimately we love our Heavenly Father, and our Savior Jesus Christ Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Luke Streeter
We believe the Bible is Holy scrpiture, just like the Book of Mormon. Reading and understanding the Bible makes my love for the Book of Mormon grow because the teachings that are in both the Book of Mormon and the Bible go hand in hand. The Bible is absolutely holy scripture and the word of god, just as the Book of Mormon is. I read them both every day, and every day i learn more and my love for both of these amazing books grows.
