Hi I'm Mar'Lee

I'm a tomboy, and animal lover, a mother to eight children, a TaeKwonDo black belt, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom to 9 children. I love to wrestle with my boys, climb trees, hike, run, camp and just be active. My best friend is my oldest daughter and I love to spend time with my 6 girls. I work hard to stay healthy though at times I do slip. I got My 1st degree black belt in TaeKwondo, and watch with a sense of pride as my oldest got her 3 degree black belt. I LOVE animals, if it crawls, walks, runs, slithers, or creeps I have either owned or very much wanted to own it. My friends love to tell me I have a zoo in my home, and I love my zoo. I adore watching children grow and wake up as they learn more and more. I fully think that is the reason that I have so many kids, I just love to watch them learn. I have miscarried, lost a parent and watched as the other has loved again. My health is very important to me and I treat it as a treasure.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe everyone has a conversion story. I was raised with the values of the church in a Mormon home. As many young adults in small communities, I rebelled and i rebelled hard.... I left my home and those that loved me and I lived on the streets for 6 months or so... I went from living in one house to the next. Though out it all My Mormon Friends Never gave up on me... they prayed for me and included me when possible. Finally I went back home, still not really sure of who I was, though a small fire was growing. It was when I went to institute that I finally started to see and feel who I was and just how important I was, still my friends were ever there. We would go to the temple JUST to sit on the grounds. I had a great single adult branch president that always had the time. Little by little the fire grew. I don't remember the exact date it happened, but I do remember that one day I was talking to friends at night under the lights of the temple when I KNEW that I was a daughter of God and that he loved ME just as much as anything else.

How I live my faith

Now I get the extreme Honor of helping the young ladies of my ward, discover who they are through activity day girls, I visit teach some Great young ladies who are eminently precious in GODS eyes and whom I believe are here more to teach me than I them. I try and raise my eight children to know who they are and how much God loves them. I read the scriptures, and read with my family as well, before they go to seminary, which is VERY early as they don't have release time. I try to express my gratitude to my Father in Heaven in every way. I love to be outside and watch Gods hand in the world around us. From the individuality of snowflake to the Majesty of the rocky mountains I have the privileged of living next to. I remember Who I am Everyday. The Young womans moto is almost continually running though my mind. I am a daughter og my Heavenly Father who Loves me and I love him. this is who I am.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Mar'Lee
I see the evidence of a living god everyday... who else could make such beautiful and distinct snowflakes and when you turn around you see the power and majesty of of the rocky mountains. Babies are miracles in and of them selves and I know no other way but to say God had his hand in it. I look at leaves and petals on flowers, eagles circling in the air above me and KNOW that there is a god. Show more Show less
