Hi I'm Sam

I grew up in South Carolina. I love Chick Fil A. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a ginger... I love improvisational comedy and ultimate frisbee! I'm interested in politics, music, friends, and cheesecake.

Why I am a Mormon

Mormonism has provided me with answers. It appeals to me both logically and spiritually. I've seen people's lives change from reading the savior's words in the Book of Mormon and Bible. Being Mormon helps free me from addiction and gives me hope for a future family that can be eternal. I've felt the holy ghost strongly in places not of my faith, but i only learned how to recognize the Holy Ghost through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith the best i can. That includes going to church, being obedient, reading from both the bible and the book of mormon, and trying to help other people out. I wanna be like others who live their faith better than i do. There are so many faithful baptists and catholics here in the South that are such good examples of walking the walk and not just talking the talk.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Sam
Instead of "Till Death do we Part", Mormons believe in "Till Death do we Stay Together". (Thats not an official church statement, just a fun thing I like to say). Some of my closest and most beloved relationships are with my family members. I love them so much. I find hope in knowing that if I do my part, I can live with my family forever. Mormons also emphasis saying Heavenly Father, instead of just God. He is definitely our God, but we want to remember that we are his children. I've found that saying heavenly father helps me keep his name holy. It prevents me from casually taking the lord's name in vain and hurting myself spiritually. Show more Show less
