Hi I'm Hayden

I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old. I have grown up in the same house my entire life in Utah. I love it there. We live in a great neighborhood and I have an awesome family and friends. For the past 21 months I have been serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in west Texas and eastern New Mexico. I primarily teach the spanish-speaking people here. I didn't know Spanish 21 months ago, but through the Lord's help I have been able to learn it. It has been challenging to learn Spanish with only two months of formal training, but it has been a fantastic experience. I love serving the Lord and serving other people. Even though I am separated from my family and friends back home, I have come to love the people out here as family. I love the Hispanic culture and I love being able to serve among the Hispanic people.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Jesus is the Christ. He is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I have always believed that Jesus is my Savior, but I first came to know this for myself when I finished reading the Book of Mormon for the first time when I was 14 years old. As I prayed and finished the Book of Mormon, I felt that God loved me in a way that I had never felt before in my life. I felt a unique peace that didn't come from me. It motivated me to do everything I could to love others and to serve God, so I knew that it came from God. Up until that point in my life I had always believed the Book of Mormon to be true, but until that point I didn't know it was true. The Book of Mormon is the evidence that this is Jesus Christ is our Savior, that he has a prophet on earth today, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Jesus Christ's one true and complete church on the earth today. All of us who call ourselves Christians read the Bible and know it to be the word of God, but coming to know that the Book of Mormon is the only way to know that this is Jesus Christ's one church on earth today.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by dedicating every day to serving God and bringing his message of hope to everyone I can here in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. Being a full-time missionary for Jesus Christ and His Church has been the greatest blessing of my life thus far. I have learned more about life and about people than through any other experience. My knowlege of the Savior has grown firmer and firmer every day that I am out here serving. I have received more joy and peace out here, than from doing anything else in my life.
