Hi I'm Colin

I'm a brother and a son. I am a student, a friend, I do a little of everything and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love my family. They mean so much to me. We have fun, first and foremost looking out for each other. It is a blessing how our hearts can be stretched to find more and more love for the people we go on to meet in life. I have always looked for what is out there; I try to learn whatever I can. If it is a skill, a pastime, a new place-- I just like to find out more. I know I will never know enough, but I'll still try. I am from Northern California. I think it was the beauty of that area that has helped me to appreciate so much of what is around us. Though I now ogle over Texan sunsets instead of the Pacific, my love for the beauty of this world is the same.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were the ones that began to teach me about God, but it is through the time I have spent reading from the scriptures, thinking on the all the messages that bombard my life daily, and praying from my heart that I have come to know my Father in Heaven personally. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made so that I can live happily. I love my family; I have so much hope in knowing that as I act on the feelings that tell me what is right that I can be with them forever. I know from those feelings that I have a Heavenly Father, that He knows me personally and that He has not left me alone in the world today. He knows what I need and He has called teachers today-- as He has always done-- so that I can know the truth and the way to return to live with Him. I fall so short of what He has asked. There is nothing I could ever do to earn what He wants for me to have. Knowing that truth has given me so much love and appreciation for my Savior. I want to do what He has taught and to live as He lived. Jesus' sacrifice is the only thing that makes it possible. I know my efforts would be nothing without Him. I am so grateful. As I live what He has taught, I can feel the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost helps us know what is true and what is right. I continue to do what gives me joy and I know I must change when I cannot feel the influence of the Spirit in my life. This gift is available to everyone who follows the example of Jesus Christ be living His Gospel. I know that being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has made it possible for me to be who I am today and for me to become who my Heavenly Father wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I try to be myself in every situation I am in. I began to notice a long time ago some things about my life that set me apart from the people I saw around me. I am grateful for my parents' example that taught me to be honest, sensitive and hard working. My parents made an impact in my life because they live what they believe. Because of what I witnessed I have been motivated to find what is right for myself.
