Hi I'm Larry

I was born and raised in South Carolina. I'm a husband, father, grandfather and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a retired family and marriage counselor and have worked several years in sales. I love sports, the outdoors, playing with my grandchildren and I seek after knowledge and the truth.

Why I am a Mormon

Forty years ago, the missionaries knocked on my door. I let them in with the intention of confusing them and proving them wrong. Being raised in a Christiam home, I felt I knew the truths of religion and of God. But when the missionaries taught me, they clarified my questions about who I really am, what I'm doing here on earth and where I'm going after this life. My interest was aroused when they told me "families can be together forever." They asked me to pray about the truthfulness of all they had taught. I did, and during that prayer, I received revelation from God that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Savior's restored church, headed by a prophet and apostles who hold divine authority from Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I try to be honest in all my dealings with my fellow men and women. I respect others beliefs, yet strive to share more of what I now know about God's plan of happiness and salvation. I have worked with the children, youth and adults in various capacities for the church. I try to show love for my neighbors by following the Savior's example--helping those who are disabled, sick, in prison, lonely and depressed. I want others to feel the same joy that I feel within the gospel of Jesus Christ.
