Hi I'm Cort
I'm a Country boy. I love to ride horses and work cows. I grew up in a small town. I'm a Mormon.
I am an outside kind of person. I love both the desert and the mountains. I grew up on the back of a horse and have a passion for horses and cattle.
Why I am a Mormon
I grew up in the church, but that doesn't mean that I didn't have to find out for myself if it was true or not. When I was a senior in high shcool, one of my religious leaders challenged me to read The Book of Mormon in a short period of time. I did ithis, and afterward I took the challenge given at the end of the book by the last person to write in it to pray and ask God in the name of Christ if the book is true. I did it as soon as I was done. I didn't get any kind of answer that night, but I knew that God would answer in His own time, so I continued to have faith that He would answer my question. The next day I received a witness from the Holy Ghost that The Book of Mormon is true. I have never forgotten that feeling. Now that I am a missionary, I come in contact with people from all kinds of denominations. I always find out what they believe and then share what I believe. After finding out what they believe, I have gained an even stronger testimony of the fullness of the Gospel restored through Joseph Smith. Other churches have really good people and some of the doctrine that was in Jesus Christ's original church, but I have learned for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has everything in Jesus Christ's Church. I have come to know both spiritually and intelectually that this Church is the one true Church with the authority to baptize and perform other saving ordinaces. I am a Mormon because I want to be in Jesus Christ's Church so that I can return to Him with my family and be with them forever.
How I live my faith
I live my faith on every day of the week and not just on Sunday. I constantly try to become more like our Savior, Jesus Christ, each day. I am now serving the Lord for two years of my life.
