Hi I'm Tim Orme

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of three boys and with help of my lovely wife spend our time enjoying the parenting process. I love to work on old cars and trucks, work with wood building furniture and tuning pens. I am also interested in drawing, painting and creating stain glass windows. I am an engineer, more of jack of all trades kind of guy. I also teach for a major university and love to interact with the students both locally and online. If I am not with the family or working, you will find me playing ice hockey with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

My grandparents were great influences on why I am a member of this religion. Spiritual blessings impacted my life when I was younger that persuaded me to attend Ricks College and volunteer as a missionary in Belgium for two years many years ago. I am thankful everyday that a prophet and the organizational structure of this church helps guide and direct everyone to appreciate the atonement of Christ, to know that God is a loving deity and that a plan of redemption is more that a guilt trip. My goal in life is to love more, appreciate the diversity of God's children and try to draw closer to God. Being Mormon helps me do this.

How I live my faith

I work with the twelve year old scouts as a scout master and love the interaction. Additionally, I am lucky to teach a Sunday school lesson to my son and his friends. The challenges these young people experience are massive and complicated and I hope that I can help them think critically about spiritual matters. I am grateful for God's love and the outpouring of his love to all mankind.
