Hi I'm Justin Tuckett

Hi! I'm Justin, and there is nothing I love more than spending time out on the lake, listening to some tunes & skiing. I'm Mormon.

About Me

Quickly about me. I love any kind of sport that takes place on the water. I grew up boating and have loved every second of it. I also like to do almost anything that involves the outdoors. Music-wise I'm an Oldies junkie. I grew up listening to the music my parents would play, and grew to love music from the 60's up through the mid-80's. Though I also listen to music from my own generation. I spent time in college, in a pre-engineering program. I really enjoyed my time there. I hope one day to go back there and finish up. I love to work on anything Mechanical, and thus am working on a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Currently I am a missionary for my Church, and am loving the experiance I'm having helping other people make Jesus Christ and his Gospel more a part of their lives. There is nothing more rewarding than missionary work.

Why I am a Mormon

I am definately a Mormon. If you were to wind back my family history on both of my parents sides, you would find Mormon Pioneers back to the time that Mormons began. It has always been a big part of my family, and has become a big part of my life. I think I have always had a testamony of this Church, though it has strengthened tremendously over time. The great thing about God, is that he is a loving God, and a God of truth. Knowing that God is both of these things, gives us two great truths. One that he loves us more than we can comprehend, and because of that love, he is always standing at the door and knocking, just waiting for us to reach out to him for help in our times of need, and so much more. Two, that he is a God of truth, means that God cannot lie to us, so he will never lead us astray. Knowing both of these truths has been a very helpful thing to me in my life, as I have prayed for answers to questions, and looked for his will in my own life. He has borne witness to me time and time again of the truthfulness of his Gospel, and of this Church. Paul the Apostle gives a great account on the 'fruits of the spirit' in his letter to the Galations. Among those are happiness and peace. Those are the feelings I get from being a part of this Church. I currently live in what the locals refer to as, 'The Bible Belt'. So I have had pleanty of time searching out all different Christian religions, and have met wonderful people from all backgrounds. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is helping so many people in so many ways, it's amazing to me. I'm thankful for the truths that people have shared with me, and hope that the truths I've shared with them have helped them similarly. That is my goal in life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith right now in a very obvious way. I'm currently a missionary for my Church. I'm in a lot of ways a walking billboard of my faith. People are always watching and always asking questions. It's my goal to help people better understand my faith and my beliefs. I do this each and everyday. If I can help anyone gain a strong testamony of Jesus Christ as their Savior and Redeemer, I count this as success. There is nothing better than to be able to spread the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people. It brings so much happiness, not only to the one with whom the message is shared, but with the person sharing it as well. This is a work I know to be true, and I love the chance to be able to share it with people on a daily basis.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Justin Tuckett
By doing all the simple things. Faith, that belief in things not seen, and hope for promises yet to be fulfilled (Hebrews 11:1), is increased much the same way as one increases a talent or ability. By practicing the basics principles of anything regularly the habits are gained, and the ability increases. So with faith, one should practice the basic principles pertaining to faith. If we consistently, regularly, and sincerely, pray to God, read our scriptures, attend church, and follow our beliefs, our faith will, with time, increase. Show more Show less
