Hi I'm Jared

Dessert is my favorite kind of dessert and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I'm Jared. This seems to be the spot where I talk about how awesome I am.....ok I am 21, and just to tell about me I am kinda nerdy. Not really in the smart way but more of a I don't like sports and like to read, write, draw and play video games kinda way. I did all my schooling via home study but I do have a diploma. Plans for my life? Um go to collage and get a education. lol I don't know "I have a big head and little arms and.....I dont know how well this plan was thought out" All I can do is rely on my Savior and do what He says. And that's where I'm at.

Why I am a Mormon

Ok so "Why am I a Mormon?" I've been asked this question before. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) purely because I know it is His church. Him being Jesus Christ the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I know that the Church is Christ's because I read the Book of Mormon and I prayed to know if it was true. I got my answer then. At the time I was about 15. And now EVERY time I read from the Book of Mormon I feel the same feelings peace and love. It is because of that feeling and the teachings found in the Book of Mormon that I believe this way. It is how I know that Jesus is the Christ. He is MY Savior and Redeemer He suffered for MY sins that I might have the chance of everlasting life. Every time I read from the Book of Mormon I feel the Spirit enlightening my mind and I learn more about Him who died and rose again on the third day. This is Why I'm a Mormon. This is why I gladly sacrifice all the many things that are necessary as a disciple of Jesus of Nazareth. I look forward to the day that I will meet my Lord in the flesh. I pray I will be ready for that day. I pray that I will have applied His sacrifice and grace into my life and be made clean from my many sins.

How I live my faith

I try to become better every day. And follow the example of Christ. I also try to help others in any way that I can. Weather its by helping them move big heavy things, painting rooms in their house or sharing with them what I know of the Master. (But I think talking about Jesus is my favorite.)

What is being a Mormon like?

Well I think of it as a party! See with the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ restored there are no big questions left. All have been answered because of the Restoration. So I live knowing why I'm here on earth and where I go when I die. That alone cuts out most of my worries. And then with Jesus Christ I can be made clean from my sins. They don't have to burden me down and I don't have to live with the guilt. Jesus takes all that away when I am willing to give it to Him. Just for those two things life is a blast. A time of learning and growth. And just strait up fun. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

I think of grace in two ways. But first because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ He has the power to help us in our lives. This power is "grace". And the first way Jesus Christ of grace helps us is by redeeming or cleansing us from our sins. This is how we go from being a sinner to a saint and we receive forgiveness of our sins. The second mode of grace is the enabling power of grace. So this is when the Lord asks you to do something harder than you think you can do and He stretches and enables you to do it. So you see we are saved and strengthened by the grace of the Holy Messiah who is full of mercy and truth. Show more Show less
