Hi I'm Cameron

I'm a missionary, I'm a film maker, and I love being ME

About Me

Currently a mission serving in South Africa Cape Town mission! I was born in the UK in a place called the isle of Lewis. But eventually moved to England where I currently live now. I have finished college and am serving a full time mission. But don't plan on going to university upon my return. I have a major interest in film making, in fact I want to take that up as a career in film directing. (I have a couple of videos on youtube.) I got involved in filming because my memory sucks so I couldn't remember lines to be an actor so after discussions with my parents I decided to work behind the camera, which I love more! I love being creative! I can play the piano a little, can sight read and create my own small pieces. everything I do is around creativity, as I am also a budding author of a fictional book series. My world does revolve slightly around films a lot, I do critical reviews on Facebook, and watch and find all the latest news. Don't get me wrong I love being with my friends tonnes, I am often out with them everyday. I am a avid follower of Formula 1, I support Ferrari over any single driver. I have watched the sport my whole life. it's much better than football :-). I have a random obsession with the Joker from the DC universe, blame that on the Dark Knight my favourite movie. It's all because he is super clever. Dr Who is also a big passion of mine, it's a part of my life in fact. To sum it all up basically I am a geek, but I cool one I hope

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in the Church by my mother who was converted during her teens, my father not attending Church with us, nor a member of the Latter Day Saint Church. I was baptised at the age on 9, but truly became converted to the gospel over a period of 4 years, the seminary years. I had experience that let me know that God exists and loves me as his son! I am a Mormon today because I know the Gospel is true and that God loves us and knows us. His son came to earth to pay the ultimate price in our behalf and can relate to us in every way. He has called Prophets to the earth once more, who lead and guide this Church through divine revelation. I know God has provided us a way to live with him again, he gave us commandments on this earth to protect us from the dangers of Satan's delights and temptations, I have seen the damaging effect he has on people and look at how my life is better for resisting his ways. It is the path of righteousness and I know it is true. I am a Mormon because I stand on the side of Christ forever and always!

How I live my faith

I have been brought up as a Latter Day Saint, it has instilled in me great values of family and good moral standards. I have done my best to live the Lords commandments that he has revealed to his Church throughout my life, no matter the circumstances I have tried to life them, even if I do stand alone. As such I have been blessed with friends, even not of my faith, to support me in my choices of living and to make it easier to follow Christ. I studied the scriptures diligently for 4 years in seminary, which is helping me greatly know the standards that I am meant to live also in teaching as I serve a full time mission in South Africa. I have worked hard to serve a small ward in the Birmingham Stake England. Although very few Priesthood brethren attending, I did all I could to help out, in many ways, home teaching, sacrament etc... All in all I have come to love the Gospel and my Father in Heaven and his sons atoning sacrifice for ME! I am Serving Jesus Christ by serving a mission and representing him for 2 years in the South Africa Cape Town Mission.
