Hi I'm Marcella Martinez

I am a compassionate, determined person. I am divorced mom, teacher with a strong testimony of the gospel. I am Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert to the church. I have been a member since 2003. I am the first person in my family to join the church. I am the pioneer for my family. I am a divorced mom who enjoys teaching my son the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am a teacher. I love to travel and go on adventures. I am compassionate, caring person who wants an eternal marriage. My goal is to visit all 50 states. One of my favorite places to visit are National Parks. I also enjoy visiting Nauvoo. I try to make it a point to go at least once a year. I would very much like to visit other church sites. I earned my masters degree in Spanish Pedagogy from Brigham Young University.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the first time I opened the book I asked God to show me if it was true in deed. I put my questioned almost as a dare. I opened the book to Alma 32. I read the chapter pertaining to faith. In that moment I knew The Book of Mormon was true. I have continued to read the book every single day, sometimes in English, sometimes in Spanish even in Italian twice. I am amazed at how my testimony continues to grow. I know without a shadow of a doubt that the book is true and that this is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to learn and be like Jesus Christ. I am constantly learning and asking Heavenly Father to strengthen my faith. I am an active member of the church. I go to church every Sunday. I visit teach some people during the month. I teach the women in the church gospel principals. I accept callings that have been extended in the church. I am a Webelos Den leader in my son's class. I offer service whenever the opportunity arises. I have also work with primary children.
