Hi I'm Millie

I am a singer, I am a Soldier, and i'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Millie Anne Sneed. I was born in Illinois and adopted in Missouri, where I spent my early childhood years. My father was in the United States Army, which means we moved a few times. I had the opportunity to live in Germany for four and a half years, and I would love to go back! :) I went to Basic Combat Training 3 weeks after graduating from Tooele High School (This is in Utah). I have now been in the Army for almost 2 years, and I love every minute of it. My job in the military is to sing. I am a member of the 3rd Infantry Division Band, as an OJT Vocalist, so every day I get to do what I love most :) I am currently in school, but I haven't decided on a major. I am secretly considering Criminal Justice, So I can pursue law enforcement after I get out of the military. I can't wait to have a family of my own, I miss mine so much everyday that I am away from them. I am an avid reader, and I love music. It is a big part of my personality. I love talking to people and making new friends :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be, and not because someone forced me into it. I got down on my knees and I prayed for myself if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the true church. I choose to be a member of the Church today, because I have no doubt in my mind whatsoever that it is true. It brings me so much happiness and many blessings. I have no doubt that I would be lost in life without the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I am a member of the Hinesville Ward, which is in Hinesville, Georgia. I used to be the Nursery Leader, but i am now serving as the Ward Primary Pianist. I love the children; they are such sweet spirits. I love the fact I can share music with them. I try to be a good example to those around me, not only because I am in the Army, but because I am a daughter of God and should at all times conduct myself in a manner pleasing to the Lord. I get asked questions all of the time about what a "Mormon" is. I study my scriptures everyday so when I get asked the tough questions I am prepared. There are so many missionary opportunities, so I like to stay on my toes. I am not perfect by any means, but I do my very best.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Millie
We are taught by Christ to "love one another as I loved you". This means we love everybody, and do our very best to help them out in any way we can. We don't hold prejudices. Show more Show less
