Hi I'm Lisa

65 years of experiencing a lot of 'life learning lessons'...... hummm! Oh and by the way, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My younger & only sister is a nurse practictioner and I'm a retired nurse epidemiologist. We have both been single mothers with 4 children each. All children are now adults, most married with children. We have many similar interests and compliment each other well. Have we always been successful? No! We had our fair share of bad times and struggles.... we believe those times have made us stronger as women and mothers. I have passion, love, joy and wonderment. I so want to share what I know about life, love and heart breaks. I take my moments and give what I can. Like Jesus I love unconditionally, own my truths and see the miracles.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to the church to parents that were not active. My activeness was with my friends and cousins. We all were very close and helped each other when possible. Through my adult years I have listened to many of my patients that are not Mormon and I grieve with them as they don't know about Heavenly Father's plan for salvation. I don't push my religion on other people, but if they bring the subject up, I'll comment and I've lost count on how many young return missionaries I've cried with and hugged them when I tell them "Heavenly Father STILL loves you". It is not my mission to judge others and their life style, it is my mission to hold on to them and always leave a door open and a light on so they know there is some one they can turn to at any time. I so love our Father in Heaven and our brother Jesus Christ. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored church of Jesus Christ..... look back and read that I did not write "I believe" but "I know". You may ask how do I know? Because I have had the Holy Spirit confirm it to me. I leave with you this testimony so you may in some way connect with me, my past, my present and the future. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I participate on a personal level now as my health is not good. I share my knowledge, my experiences and my love for our country, our military men and women who give so much. I strive to always look the best I can (always wearing a dress) to church worship service and temple as my love and devotion is for our Father in Heaven, not my convience. I strive to be a good example to my family and friends. I show my respect to leaders of not only the Mormon church, but of all churches. I have volunteered my time and efforts when possible to those in need and seriously there is always a big need! I pray for all of you who have taken time to come here and read our stories. May Heavenly Father bless you and your love ones and know you too are a son or daughter of our Heavenly Father. He loves you unconditionally and wants you to have eternal salvation. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
