Hi I'm Karsten

I grew up in Utah, I love food, playing sports, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play lacrosse, basketball, and football. Right now I'm serving as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Arkansas Little Rock Mission. Before I left on a mission I went to a semester of college at the University of Utah, and worked in a few different retail stores. I spent time with my family fishing and swimming at my grandparents' lake house on Lake Livingston in Texas.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are members of the church, so I was raised going to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I always felt that I knew it was true, but it wasn't until I prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was true that I decided that I would continue to follow the example that Jesus Christ set for me. I gained a real testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith after I knew that the Book of Mormon was true, and that testimony is what gave me a greater desire to serve a mission. I know that this church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, is the same church that The Savior Jesus Christ established while he was on the Earth. It has been restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know that God continues to call apostles and prophets today, and that there is a living prophet on the Earth today. Thomas S. Monson and The Twelve Apostles are guided by Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of all who will accept and believe on his name, and he directs this church.

How I live my faith

The way that I live my faith is by doing my best to show The Savior Jesus Christ my love for him by serving others. In our church every member is a missionary, but I've chosen to leave my family, friends, and everything that I know for two years to serve a full-time mission for Jesus Christ. I've come to love the people of Arkansas. The days are long. The weeks are short. The only pay is seeing the blessings in mine and other people's lives and witnessing daily miracles. Every moment has been worth it.
