Hi I'm Jenny

I grew up in Sacramento, CA I now live in Vincennes, IN. I am a mom of 2 beautiful children and a wife of a wonderful husband.

About Me

I am a mom of an 8 year old son and 6 year old daughter. I enjoy staying home and taking care of my family. I have been married for 10 1/2 years and have known my husband since we were 16. I have lived on both coasts of the country. I grew up in CA, lived in Provo, UT for 2 years while my husband went to school. Then moved to Storrs, CT where my husband did his graduate degree and now we live in Vincennes, IN where he teaches Anatomy and Physiology at the local college. I enjoy working out and spending time with my friends and family. We enjoy driving across the country to visit our families in CA. I enjoy babysitting my friends 1 year old daughter (while she works) and volunteering in my children's classrooms at school.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. However, when I was a teenager, I gained a true testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and knew that the church was true. When I was married to my husband in the Temple, I was so grateful to know that I was going to be with him for eternity. I continue to live the Gospel because it brings me happiness and joy. I know that Jesus atoned for our sins and that we can repent and live with Him, our Heavenly Father and our families for eternity. I am grateful for the opportunity to raise my children in the Gospel and have them know that they are children of God and that he has a divine purpose for us here on the Earth. I LOVE my church family. It is hard for me to live 2,000 miles away from my parents and siblings. My church family gives me that love and support that I need. The people of the church are a very loving and serving people. I know that our God is a God of miracles and that the power of Priesthood blessings is real. When I was 20 weeks pregnant with my daughter, they told me she was too small and not growing very well and would probably not survive. My husband gave me a blessing and blessed me to have a healthy baby. She was born 5 weeks early and weighed 2 1/2 pounds. But she was healthy. She was breathing on her own and able to eat on her own. She is now a very healthy 6 year old.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth in our church (girls ages 12-18). I really enjoy watching them grow. I teach them lessons about the Gospel on Sunday's and we have weekly activities for them on Wednesday nights. I attend church every Sunday and enjoy learning of my Savior and worshiping him and my Heavenly Father. I find joy in serving others and helping others in need.
