Hi I'm Aaron

I grew up in St.Louis, Missouri. I love to play all sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have played all sports throughout my life, specifically baseball, basketball and football. I also like to sing and dance. I did show choir in high school. I am currently in college studying statistics. Following high school, I spent some time training and performed as an entertainment wrestler (like WWE) to have some fun and stay in shape. I enjoy time with family, especially with my siblings. Family is very important to me which is a value that the church holds dear as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I didn't fully gain a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ until my mission. I made some mistakes as a teenager, and one prayer changed my outlook on life and decided to serve the Lord for two years on a mission. I am serving currently in Colorado. I know that living the gospel of Jesus Christ brings happiness in life. I have felt the peace and joy of the Atonement of Jesus Christ (His suffering in Gethsemane and crusifiction) in my life and it has allowed me to change and become a better person. This is Christ's restored church to the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith right now by serving as a missionary for the church. I do not want to be one to pressure people into changing their beliefs that they grew up with. I decided to serve a mission because I wanted to help people. I have something in my life, the gospel of Jesus Christ, that will bless anyone's life if they give it a chance. I love meeting new people and finding out what makes them happy and also what makes them sad. I wake up each day hoping that there is someone out there who's life I can touch that day. It has been a blessing to serve the people of Colorado and also the Lord.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Aaron
The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the act of the enduring the agony in the Garden of Gethsemane and His suffering on the cross. By suffering those things, the Savior atoned, or paid the price, for the sins of all mankind. It is the most important event that has ever taken place. None of us are perfect. That is why we needed a Savior, Jesus Christ, to perform that sacred act so that we could become cleansed from sin. This sacrifice had to be pure and perfect. We can access the power of the Atonement and thereby obtain forgiveness, peace and happiness. To feel that power in our lives, we must have faith in Jesus Christ, repent of our sins (make changes), be baptized by one who has the proper authority, receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and continue to stand as a witness of Christ throughout our lives (obey His commandments, good example, etc). Because of Christ's Atonement, we all do not have to walk the path of life alone. Jesus Christ loves EVERYONE. If we turn to him, He will be there for us. He has felt your pain. He has felt your sorrow. He has felt your loneliness. Come unto the Savior and you will find the joy that comes through living his gospel. Through his Atonement, we can overcome our shortcomings and once again return to live with God again. Show more Show less
