Hi I'm Anthony

I was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley. I like heavy metal music and video games. I am serving a mission and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Anthony. I was born in Salt Lake City, UT and have lived all over the Salt Lake Valley. I enjoy spending time with friends, listening to music of all kinds, working on computers, and playing video games. I am currently serving my Lord and Savior in California helping bring others unto Christ. I am an Eagle Scout. I enjoy watching sports, mainly football, basketball, and soccer. I am the oldest of 5 children and I love my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church. But I had to know for myself that it was true. I had to study the scriptures and the words of living prophets and apostles. I had to pray and ask my Father in Heaven if what I had been taught was true. The Spirit has born witness to my heart many times that it is true. I have seen many blessings come by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I find peace and joy in this life. The Gospel makes life easier. While it doesn't take all of life's challenges away, I know that I can turn to my Savior, Jesus Christ, and He will help me as I go through this life. I have also seen many miracles that I know are blessings from God and make me ever more grateful for all He has done for me. Let me share one experience with you: It is May 1991. My mother and father are on their way to see a movie. My mother is 8 months pregnant with me. Because of her pregnancy, it was uncomfortable for her to wear a seat belt, so she had chosen to not wear it. As they are driving, she hears a voice say "Put your seat belt on." Thinking that it was my father who said it, she turns to him and replies, "I'm not putting my seat belt on. My father, confused, responds that it was fine. Moments later, my mother hears it again, this time a bit more urgent. "Lisa, put your seat belt on." Still thinking it is my father, she turns to him and says "No, I'm not going to put my seat belt on. It is too uncomfortable." My father, now bewildered, says that he is okay with her not putting it on. Then, this time, very loud and very powerfully, she hears the voice say "Lisa, put your seat belt on, NOW!" Finally she listens to the promptings of the Spirit and fastens her seat belt. Not 30 seconds later, they are part of a serious collision, leaving my parents bruised and injured. I also received some damages. My mother was told that if she had not been wearing her seat belt, neither her nor I would have survived. Thanks to the Lord, I was spared.

How I live my faith

My faith is part of my everyday life. It is who I am. Every part of my life is influenced by my beliefs. I try my best to live the standards of the gospel and I use the Atonement of Jesus Christ to better myself and become more like our savior. I love this gospel and I thank my Heavenly Father each day for blessing me with this gospel early in my life. I am also currently a missionary and I go out each day spreading the gospel and that brings great joy to the soul. It is the best work imaginable.
