Hi I'm Katrina

I am an only child and world traveler.Love music!Passionate about helping kids with Autism.Make mistakes, love to laugh.I am Mormon

About Me

I am an only child. Love music and am passionate about children and helping others. Goal is to one day create a nonprofit to help children with disabilities or other illnesses, perhaps with intention of decorating their bedrooms to help brighten their day and make the most of their childhood. For the past 7 years, I have had the pleasure and privilege of working as an ABA behavior interventionist providing one-on-one therapy to children diagnosed on the Autism spectrum. I have traveled the world, lived in 7 other states and in Italy while in college. Hope to continue exploring the globe and learning about other cultures and languages. I have recently settled in Portland, Oregon where I finally feel at home.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon thanks to my mom converting as a teenager, and technically that was indirectly related to her obsession at the time with Mormon teen heart-throb, none other than Donny Osmond. So, yes, Donny, I am a Mormon because of your cute smile and charm technically which initiated my mom doing a book report on Brigham Young and meeting a friend who would introduce her to the church. I grew up with only my mom and I as members. It wasn't easy. I've had many trials and life experiences that have sometimes led me to fall off the correct path to eternal happiness, but something always brings me back. My faith, my hope, my testimony. My love for Christ our Savior and Redeemer, and knowing that God forgives us all and welcomes us back to his home, with open arms.

How I live my faith

Living my life as an LDS member has not been easy. It is a continuous conscious decision I make everyday. I have made, and will continue to make, many mistakes and don't always do what I know I should. Had I not had the church in my life or the knowledge of the Gospel, I don't know where I would have ended up. While I still don't know the future, I know that the church and being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has made me the person I am and has me on the righteous path that ultimately leads to who I want to become.
