Hi I'm Katie Wright

I'm a Mormon and a single mother. I love my kids and I love the gospel of Jesus Christ.

About Me

I was raised in the church. I love the family I'm from, my Mom. my Dad, my sister and three brothers. I married in the temple just as I committed to from a young age. I have two beautiful children, Wesley and Wendy. I am sorry to say that my marriage was destroyed by the evils of the world. Through faith in my loving father in heaven and the strength that only he can give, I was able to keep the spirit of god in my home. But my husband chose to follow the darkness that was driven away. My son and I moved back to Oregon and my daughter was born 5 months later. That was one and a half years ago. The lord has blessed me for having faith in Him. It wasn't always easy to act in faith but when I remember that God is my father and he loves me, I know that whatever he asks of me can only be for the best in the end. Now it is my job to keep close the the spirit of the lord and have charity in my heart so that I know when the lord has need of me.

Why I am a Mormon

The lord speaks to me in my heart , as he does for all who will listen. He also guides me by the words of his profits. I have faith In the prophets that roots from my faith in god. When I prayed to know how to follow him, I promised him that I would trust in the prompting he gives me. I was introduced to the gospel of Jesus Christ all through my child hood. But it was through faith and prayer that I became his disciple.

How I live my faith

The world is uncertain but the lord has a plan. A way for me to live my life and be safe from the pain of sin. I follow the counsel he gives us through the prophets. I go to the meetings that tell me and remind me of Christs teachings. I grow closer to him through prayer. I study the scriptures and gain knowledge. I have even been blessed, through obedience and faith, to attend the Temple of the Lord. It is a personal commitment I have made to never refuse a calling in the church. I may not always have a personal relationship with my bishop, but I have faith in the organization of the church. I know my father in heaven loves me. He would not lead me down the wrong path. I feel His love every time I commit in my heart to obey. I am his child and as a parent I know how much joy it brings to see my children grow and keep there lives clean from disorder and sin. That is the love he must have for the world.

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

Katie Wright
We believe that it it real and that it is what we are created to obtain. We may still exist after this life but what would that mean to you without being with the people you love? We are Gods children. That is not a figure of speech. He created us. We are the heirs to his kingdom, that is to say, the heirs to his exaltation. Show more Show less
