Hi I'm Becca

I'm a Clogger. I'm a Nursing student at the University of Utah. I love anatomy & cadavers. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Becca and I am a Nursing student and I love it! I love Anatomy and have spent many hours in the Human Anatomy Cadaver Lab. I used to be a competition clogger and while I am no longer on a team, I still find myself clogging wherever I go. I love Disneyland and that will always be my vacation of choice. I have an irrational love for Buzz Lightyear and am totally ok with it. I love being outdoors, especially when I am able to go hiking, boating, jet skiing, etc.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was born into the church, I have had to come to know that it is true for myself. At one point, I was given a choice between being with someone that I cared for deeply and being with Christ. When that choice had to be made, I had to find out that the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints was the true church. I chose Christ. I have learned for myself that the Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Christ and that it is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and he translated the Book of Mormon correctly and through the power of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true Prophet on the earth today and he speaks directly with God about how this church should be run. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I strive to be like Him every day of my life.

How I live my faith

I love the gospel! In my ward, I am the Young Women's Girl's Camp Assistant Camp Director and I make the programs for the Sunday Meeting. I am also very involved with the Institute program for young single adults at my university. With that, I help make free food for the students, organize activities, and help to make the institute a more welcoming environment for all students on campus. I am able to go visiting teaching every month to a wonderful group of women. This has allowed me to meet and become acquainted with them, which has then led to friendship.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

In short, no. A Mission is voluntary service. With that said, missions are highly encouraged by church leaders, especially towards young men. Also, every member can be a missionary in their own life everyday. Each member can share their testimony with those they come in contact with in their daily life. Show more Show less
