Hi I'm Courtney

I run, I love Indiana, I'm a red-head, I'm a senior and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a high school aged student in Indiana. I am involved in Cross Country, Swimming, Track, Student Council and The Drama Club. I like to direct my youth choir in our ward. I love playing board games with my family and watching movies. I enjoy photography, baby-sitting, singing and driving all over the place!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of very active members of this church. My mom, dad, and I lived in Utah for a year and then moved to Crawfordsville, where we have lived since. The members of my family are the greatest examples to me, even my little sister who is 4 years younger. Although I simply grew up in this church, I have developed my own personal testimony by seeing the examples around me and by trying to be more like Christ. I have learned a lot about church history from family trips to Nauvoo, Columbus, Palmyra, and Salt Lake. I developed a lot of my testimony from those trips. I learned about how much the saints went through so that I could have the gospel today. I have read and studied The Book of Mormon and The Bible in the past 3 years in seminary. I know that this gospel is the truth; there is no doubt in my mind. We know that there are some secrets in this world that will be revealed later on, and now I know that if we follow the council of the prophets and listen to the spirit, we will be blessed. I have had countless prayers answered in my life in many different ways. I don't always feel the spirit the same way, it changes as I grow and mature, but I know that it is real. And I strive to have it with me at all times. By keeping the Holy Ghost with me, I know that I can be comforted and I can be worthy to enter the House of the Lord, the temple. And eventually, if I keep trying, keep my faith, keep repenting, and keep trying to be more like Christ, I can live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I enjoy helping out at youth group activites as a leader over the 17 and 18 year old girls. I try to help them out by being their friend and their sister as Daughters of God. I love my family and treat them with respect. I go to seminary every morning before school to study the scriptures with youth 14- 18 years old. It's great to start off my day feeling the spirit! I try my best to improve myself each day and to be an example to others. I try to see the best in everyone because I honestly believe that everyone has a special purpose in this life. I know that everything happens for a reason, and I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and ALL of his children.
