Hi I'm Trevor Larson

I'm from Arizona, and I've been Mormon my entire life.

About Me

I am currently serving a Mission in the Missouri, Independence Mission and I have been out for about a year. I spend all day every day sharing the Gospel with everyone that I can so they can experience the blessings that the Gospel has brought to my life. I was born in Cedar City, Utah and I moved to Arizona about 6 years ago. After High School I spent a year at a community college doing general education and preparing for my mission. I finally entered the field in September of 2012.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been in the church my entire life and I made the choice to join the church when I was 8 years old. As a kid growing up I took everything I was learning for granted. I would enjoy going to church as a kid because all of my friends would be there so i could hang out with them. But it never really dawned to me the importance of this gospel until about 8 months before my mission. I used to go to church only because my parents would make me go and I didn't really have a choice for myself on what I wanted to do. And when I turned eighteen and started going to our local Singles Ward, I didn't go to church for awhile. But lately I've been finding out for myself the importance of going to church and understanding the truthfulness of the gospel. Its taken me awhile to find out but I can now say that I know this is the true church. I have friends who aren't Mormon and even though we don't share the same beliefs, I respect them and their beliefs. Other religions do have pieces of the puzzle but the Mormon church is the only to have the full truth. Its taken me eighteen years to finally understand this. That is why I chose to serve a mission, because I know how much this chruch has blessed my life and the life of my family, and I want other families to be able to enjoy the blessings of this Gospel as much as I do. That is why I am out here, so I can give these families the opportunity to accept the Gospel and experience the blessings that God is already willing to give them.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for the church and I am sharing the Gospel every day for two years. I do my best to live the Gospel valliently as I serve God and those around me. Serving a mission is the hardest thing that I have done but I have seen countless miracles that solidify my testimony that there is a God, that we are his children, and that he wants nothing more than for us to be happy. I have seen this Gospel completely change peoples lives and give them a hope they never had. Serving a mission has dramatically strengthened my testimony that this church is true, that Joseph Smith truely is a Prophet of God, and that the Book of Mormon is another witness that Jesus is the Christ and is the evidence that Joseph Smith is a prophet and that the church has been Restored and is the same church that Jesus Christ set up while he was here on the earth.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Trevor Larson
Mormons are not required to serve missions but it is recommended in order to spread the gospel to those who have not had the opportunity to see it. Missions are an important part of our church and they are a great experience that will not only help those you meet in your mission, but it will help you develop healthy habits and will strengthen your testimony of the gospel.
