Hi I'm Molly

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Molly! I'm a wife, a mother, a runner, a photographer and graphic designer, and deep down I love being silly! My husband is often times the one reminding me to BE silly when things get boring or too serious in life! I love watching football and I had my very own Fantasy Football team this year, and with my hubby's help, won my league! I am a TERRIBLE bowler but I keep trying, much to my family's amusement! I love adventures. I've been swimming with sharks, hiked a 14,000+ mountain peak in Colorado, ran a marathon, and currently working on my next big adventure...our second child!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and was always called a "Molly Mormon" growing up, which is a silly way for others to say I always did what was right. If only that were true. I always did just enough to get by, just enough prayer, just enough scripture study, and life wasn't too hard. I was married in the temple, at a young age, to a return missionary, and I thought my life was set. But eight years later, my marriage had fallen apart and I got a divorce. I struggled to stay in the church for awhile but eventually gave up and quit going to church. I gave up on the Lord because I thought He had given up on me. I couldn't have been more wrong. After making all sorts of choices that damaged my life, 18-months later, that sweet little girl was the reason I came back to church. I wanted to be more and do more with my life and I realized I couldn't do it without the Savior Jesus Christ. I changed my life around, went back to school, and with the support of my family, got things straightened out. I am Mormon today because I know what its like to live WITHOUT the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My life fell apart with I turned my back on the Savior. I am humbled to look back and know that He NEVER gave up on me, He NEVER left me alone, He has forgiven my every mistake, He has redeemed and made me whole. I met my husband a few years later and we were married in the temple for time and all eternity. I am Mormon because the Gospel makes me truly happy and I can be with my family forever!

How I live my faith

I love teaching and serving with the youth of our church! They are a wonderful example to me of seeking out good things in life and in the world. They face tremendous challenges everyday at school, online, and with their friends which might cause them to not live up to the standards they have set for themselves, but they don't falter. They are steady and strong in living up to the standards of the Gospel. I love the friendships and support that come from living in a community of ordinary people who all believe the same Gospel truths and because of that we all serve together and one another. Living as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has always brought great friendships into my life. I rub shoulders with people who have struggles, just like me, but who uplift me and help me be a little better and try a little harder everyday. I love being a Mormon!
