Hi I'm David

I grew up in Utah. I'm a reader and a writer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always been a seeker of truth. This search for truth has naturally made me have a powerful drive to read. My studies have been in the scriptures, though I also have enjoyed reading novels. I read anything from the Harry Potter Series to the older classics of Gene Stratton-Porter and The Lord of The Rings. I enjoy brainstorming ideas ranging from physics to fictional story lines. I have several books I plan to write, and many essays and short stories. It is my belief that a story should mean something. There should be something good to learn from anything I read. I enjoy dancing. I dance Ballroom but I have done several other forms as well, such as Clogging. I also enjoy sword play and other martial arts.

Why I am a Mormon

I've learned many things in my life thus far. But none have given me so much guidance, nor so much joy as the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God has given me the gospel as an act of love and mercy. It has helped me to remain free of many things that would bring nothing but sorrow. While I was raised in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I know from experience that this is where I should be. I have prayed and I do know that the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored. The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ and is the evidence of the restoration of Christ's church in these days. Coupled with the Bible, the Book of Mormon establishes the truths that Christ taught; leading us to be better and and grow closer to God. Whether it is the focus on the family, or staying morally clean; keeping the commandments of God or serving others; it is all positive and useful. I believe it is true.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving my Lord and Savior by sharing the joy the Gospel has given me in my life. Serving a full-time mission is a wonderful experience. I get to testify daily of the truths that I hold closest to my heart. Work and service in church and in my family life has been important to me. Learning and teaching these truths that have helped me has been a great part of my service. I feel that learning from and teaching others we associate with is important in life. Everyone is different, so there is always something we can learn.
