Hi I'm Jean

I'm a Mormon. I am 68 years old and have been married for 50 years and have 6 wonderful children and 20 grandchildren.

About Me

I was raised in Colorado. After marriage I lived in Utah until we retired in 1999 and moved back to Colorado. I worked in the food service industry for over 18 years. Now I love living in the country. My hobbies are reading, playing table games, having fun with my children and grandchildren, gardening, riding my ATV, horseback riding and doing service for others. My family is the most important thing to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life, but I gained a testimony of the truth for myself by studying scriptures and praying and putting God's promises to the test. Through the teachings of the gospel, I have received assistance in being a better wife and mother. Every teaching of the Church helps anyone be a better person, spouse, parent, neighbor, and citizen. I have learned the personal power that comes from following Jesus Christ. He is my Savior and Redeemer. Because of His great love, perfect example, and Atonement, I and everyone (through repentance) can be made perfect through Him. Even though I've made some really bad choices in my life, He is always there to forgive me when I repent and choose again to follow Him. Every day I need Him. I know that by daily scripture study and prayer I am strengthened and all things are made possible through Him. I know that He is the Son of the Eternal Father and that the Holy Ghost bears witness of the Father and the Son.

How I live my faith

I have served in several ways in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - from teaching young children, young adults, and adults, playing the piano and organ for Church meetings, visiting the women in my ward/branch, teaching seminary, and by doing compassionate service whenever I see the need. I love to help others! I know that by doing that, I am filled with the love of Christ and feel more grateful everyday for the multitude of blessings I am granted through the grace of God.
