Hi I'm Marc

I grew up in Utah. I play baseball and go rock-climbing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

So my name is Marc and I'm 19 years old. My hobbies/interests are rock-climbing, baseball, basketball, racquetball, and baking. I worked in a bakery for about 6 months before deciding to serve a 2 year, full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I studied sports medicine at Salt Lake Community College for a semester until I chose to serve a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS family and I never really found out for myself that the Church was true until the summer after I graduated high school. At that point in my life, I wasn't sure that I was going to serve a mission. I had planned on playing baseball in college, but that just didn't work out for me. So, feeling like I had no direction in life at the moment, I got down on my knees and prayed to Father in Heaven. I asked Him what I should do, and why baseball didn't work out for me. A couple of months later, I finally realized what my calling in life was supposed to be at this moment. I got the confirmation that I was supposed to serve a mission and that baseball would be put on hold for me when I get back. Out of all of this, I've felt the overpowering love of the Savior in my life. So I guess that's why I'm a Mormon. It's for the outpouring of the Spirit that brings the love of God into my life during times of need.

How I live my faith

I'm living my faith by choosing to serve a full-time mission. I will be preaching the gospel in Guatemala and I am beyond excited!
