Hi I'm Kimberly Helm

I was born and raised in the beautiful state Maine. I love being a wife, mother and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of four children. I have been marriage for 23 years to my best friend. He is the love of my life. I enjoy playing raquet ball, tennis and running. I feel so good when I am active. I have ran in six 5k's and the feeling running across the finish line was awesome! My goal is to run a marathon someday. About 18 months ago I hurt my back, so I am slowly getting into my sports again. It has taken some time and alot of patience, but I know I'll get back to where I want to be. I have awesome friends who are supportive, loving and love to have fun. I have had alot of opportunities to work with youth, especially the young women in my wards for about 17 years. I treasure all the experiences I have had with them. They make me feel young! I also love to cook. Homade stuff that is fresh and taste great. My family loves it too!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the missionaries came to my home when I was 7 years old. I didn't understand alot of what they were teaching because I was young, but I remember the special spirit that I felt when they were there. At eight years old I was baptized along with the rest of my family. I will be ever grateful for my parents being open to let the missionaries share the messages about Jesus Christ and that the gospel has been restored the the fullness on the earth today. As I have strived to live a good life and follow the teachings and principals I can honestly say my life is good. I am not free from trails and hardships, but knowing that God has a plan for me and that I am His daughter, and as I turn to Him in prayer He makes my burdens lighter. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I just don't say I'm a Mormon, I live it. One of the great things people can do as members is recieve callings in the church. I have the joy to serve the young women in our area. We help plan activities, do camp, service opportunities, and help young woman set and achieve goals. I get to help them, but inturn these young woman stregthen me. We don't get paid for what we do, this is all volunteer. That's the way it should be. I also am a visiting teacher, which means I visit four sisters in our ward. I go to there house once a month, give a mini lesson and just make sure they're doing good. If for any reason they need help with something I'll help them. I love these sisters that I visit teach. They have become my good friends as well.
