Hi I'm Rob

I am a Canadian living in Texas. I am an urban transportation planner. I mountain bike, play hockey and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Canada and after completing my undergrad, my wife and I moved to Texas to go to Texas A&M University (WHOOP!) Growing up I loved to play hockey, football and mountain bike and I continue to play when time can afford. Now I am working as a transportation planner in Dallas. I love my wife and kids and I love to spend every minute with them. Working hard is very important to me, but also having fun. I served a mission in Las Vegas for two years and loved every minute of it. I loved serving the people of Las Vegas and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to those in and around Las Vegas.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Christ. That when he came to earth His main goal was to pay for our sins. Everyday I try to remember His sacrifice for me and that I can be forgiven through his grace. I am grateful for prayer, and that when Joseph Smith had a question, that God answered it. I too have had my prayers answered and know that God listens to me and wants me to follow Him. I love being a Mormon because of the close network of people that are helping me out everyday. The Church of Jesus Christ is set up so nicely with branches, wards, stakes and districts as instructed through revelation to latter-day prophets. I know that God speaks with men on the earth today just like He did in biblical times.

How I live my faith

I love to be different and talk to people at work about my faith. Although I am far from perfect I am grateful for the teachings that I share and receive every Sunday. Everyday I am trying to be better and I am grateful that I can renew my promises with God every Sunday at church.
