Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the religious experiences that I have had and continue to have. It brings me joy and satisfaction. It provides a model of ideal living for me. It helps me to have direction in my life. I receive an inner strength when I live the principles of the Church. I know that God lives and that He loves me. He knows me in a very personal way. I feel His influence in many different ways in my life. I know that Christ provided a way for me to overcome my weaknesses and turn them into strengths. I know that I can get better each day and that I will have divine guidance when I am prepared to follow His counsel.

How I live my faith

I am responsible for the financial aspect in my ward. i work with 4 other men to account for the offerings that our members donate. I also am responsible to make sure that our members are reimbursed for funds that they spend for our different activities. In addition to helping with finances I also have the privilege of teaching a group of men two times a month. I enjoy helping others and can often be found at somebody's house helping them with a need.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

We need a savior because we are not perfect. We make mistakes and errors no matter how hard we try. Since we cannot live with Him if we have sins a savior is the only way to receive forgiveness for sins and help make us clean so that we can live in God's presence. Show more Show less
