Hi I'm Michael

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in upstate South Carolina. I am a graduate of Clemson University and I work as a CPA/tax accountant. My wife and I have four kids and I love to spending time together with my family. I am a lifelong fan of Clemson athletics. I enjoy watching all college sports, with college football being my favorite, and college basketball being a close second.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received a witness for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's restored church. My parents are members of the church and I was grew up learning about the church from a early age. I attended early morning seminary (a scripture study class for 14 - 18 year olds) during my high school years. It was during these years that my love for the scriptures developed and my knowledge and love my Saviour deepened. It was also during these years, that I grew to appreciate the Saviour's admonition found in James 1:5, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." I have sought wisdom from God that I did not have and have received answers to my prayers.

How I live my faith

Like most active members of the church, I have held various positions in the church. I currently serve as the executive secretary to our wards Bishopric. I enjoy working on service projects ranging from helping people move to assisting people with yard work. I love spending time with my family and my wife and we do our best to teach our children about Jesus Christ. When I was 19 years old, I served a 2 year mission for my church. Its on my mission in England where I gained a love of sharing the gospel to anyone willing to listen.
