Hi I'm Darla

I'm a Mormon. I am a mother of five and grandmother of four.

About Me

I grew up in a loving family in Southeastern Idaho. My parents were very active in Church and set a wonderful example of service. I have 3 sisters and 3 brothers. We are a very close family. I married after meeting my sweetheart at a college dance. We have 5 children and 4 grandchildren. I taught beginning piano lessons in my home for 20 years. The children are all away from home now, so my husband and I are alone. I enjoy watching movies, reading, crocheting, puzzles, and sudoku.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church all my life. I was baptized when I was 8 years old by my father. I love going to church with my family and friends. I'm thankful for the love I feel from my Savior, Jesus Christ. I believe in prayer - I know my Heavenly Father listens to me and then answers my prayers. I also believe in Tithing - I know I am blessed, both spiritually and temporally, because I pay tithing.

How I live my faith

I go to Church every Sunday. I sing alto in the Ward Choir. I also teach a lesson once a month to the women. I love teaching. We have a bookclub that I belong to. Every month we read a different book and then discuss it. Lately we read the book "Unbroken". I loved the book and would recommend it! My friend and I visit two ladies every month. We just check on them and always have a good visit.
