Hi I'm Shawn Taylor

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am happily married and have four beautiful children. I am an attorney with a private practice in Snowflake, Arizona.

Why I am a Mormon

I know the church is true. It's that simple. Because I have received a witness and confirmation from the Holy Ghost that the church is true, I know that the atonement of Jesus Christ was for me and all of us. I know that I can be forgiven of my mistakes. I know that I can and should forgive others of their trespasses against me. This testimony gives me knowledge and confidence in the Savior's plan of salvation wherein, if we choose to follow His teachings, we can return to Him and live together with our families forever. If we keep the commandments of the Lord, we will be happy. If we don't, we will never be truly happy and never have the fulness of joy that we are promised and that the Lord wants us to have.

How I live my faith

I have learned that the more involved I am in serving others in my community and through my current calling as an executive secretary for the bishop in my ward, the more I forget about my own worries and the more my troubles are lessened. I have seen that all of us have trials in one way or another and that no one is perfect. We are all in need of comfort, support and friendship. When I have lost myself in the service of the Lord and church members, I have found that my confidence in who I am and what I can achieve has grown. I have also learned to genuinely love others for their good qualities and learned to appreciate challenges that others are having and not be so critical of them.
