Hi I'm Catherine

I live in England, I love to laugh and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in England, went to university at Brigham Young University - Hawaii and am now back in England enjoying life. I love to draw, paint and create anything. My father is a chef so I have grown up baking and cooking anything and everything. I love it. I love finding different recipes or just inventing meals from nothing. One of my passions is talking to people and learning their life story. I am really interested in learning about peoples lives and what they did before we met. There is always something you can learn if you just take the time to just listen to someone.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church and was baptized at the age of 8. Before I made the decision to get baptized my parents had the missionaries come and teach me as they would people who had not grown up going to church. This allowed me to learn more and decide for myself whether I wanted to be baptized or not. After praying and reading my scriptures I felt like it was the right thing to do. Many years after being baptized I found myself doubting everything, so I decided to pray some more and find out if I really had made the right decision. After praying and asking myself many questions I realized that I really shouldn't be doubting anything. I know that Jesus Christ is our Saviour and I know that our Heavenly Father loves us and wants the best for us. I know that if we read The Book of Mormon and the Bible, we will gain a knowledge of our Heavenly Father and of Jesus Christ. We will learn of their love for us and come to know why we are here on earth. After reading the scriptures more and more things begin to make sense, no matter how many times you read them you always get more from it.

How I live my faith

I participate in all of my church meetings. There is a course called institute which is designed for 18-30 year olds where we can gather together and learn from the scriptures. This is held on a Thursday night, so whenever possible I go and participate and get to know the other members of the church in my age group. It is always great to get together with members that are in the same age group as it enables us to make lasting friendships with people who have the same beliefs. We are able to help each other out and encourage each other in times of difficulty. We are taught from a young age to act, dress and speak like followers of Christ. I try to live my life in such a way that people know who I am and who I represent.
