Hi I'm Beth

I grew up traveling. I teach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy people and laughter. I served a mission. I served in the Army Reserves. I have a Bachelors degree in Social Work. I've traveled through many interesting places including Western Europe and Kenya. I am married and have two children. I spend my free time reading, scrap-booking, sewing, and baking. When my children are older I hope to be able to return to traveling, dancing, glass-work, hiking, poetry, rock-climbing and earn a masters degree in Early Childhood Education.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel Heavenly Father loves every child as much as He loves me. Everyplace I have been, in all that I have seen I look about me and say, "These people are beautiful, these people are amazing." I do not think that all that happens and all that I look at is wonderful-I have seen sorrow and hardship in people's lives. But with it always there is a sense that they are still being watched over, they are cared for and remembered, and that Heavenly Father has plans for them. It has only been through this Gospel that I always see the wisdom not only to help others, but to teach others to help themselves, the way a loving parent would want their child to grow. Through this Gospel I see the way to help ALL of Heavenly Fathers children, yet still allow them to make their own choices. Through this Gospel I see understanding for why Heavenly Father created this world, why He has worked with humanity through the world's history the way He has. Through following the Gospel of Jesus I see a way for eternal happiness and eternal families. There is harmony in my mind and in my heart for the teaching of Gospel, it is truth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in my home by thinking of how Heavenly Father would want my family and neighbors treated and then trying to do my best to be that kind in my actions. At my work again I share Heavenly Father's love and try to show it in being nice myself. When there are service projects like Helping Hands, through church or in the community, I attend and help out.
