Hi I'm Holly

I grew up in Los Angeles and now I live on the North Shore of Oahu. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student at BYU-Hawaii studying biology, hoping to go to medical school. I live at home with my family, Mom, Dad, and my younger brother. We have 3 dogs and they mean the world to me.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been members of the church since the church first began, I have family that walked across the plains and died for the gospel. I grew up in the church and had always believed in the church and its teachings. But I found that I really came to know of my Savior and his plan for me when I was fourteen. My Dad at the age of 47 had a severe left side stroke, preventing him from the possibility of working ever again. This was a time of a lot of internal struggle for me, my Dad's personality had changed and it seemed everything that was familiar to me about him had changed. But I turned to the Lord and he taught me that this life isn't forever and that in the life to come we will be together as a family and through his atonement my Dad may be whole once more. I know that this church is true, I know that my Father in Heaven lives and loves me. I know that by and through Christ we are able to return back to our Father. I know that he has a plan for us, and that if we have faith and keep his commandments we may return back to him.

How I live my faith

I go to BYU-Hawaii and have a calling in one of the student wards as a Relief Society teacher. I find though that the most important way that I live my faith is by remembering Christ in my life everyday. Remember those who are less fortunate than I am and remembering that they are all children of God and that I am sent to this earth to help them.
