Hi I'm Tyler Curtis

I love music, biking, and hiking, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a Mormon all my life, but that doesn't mean that I have been perfect all my life. I have had my times of having a rebellious heart and not always wanting to do what's right, but throughout my life I have realized that following the teachings of this great gospel I have come to love makes life so much more enjoyable. For fun, I love to hangout with my friends and be a goofball and make people laugh. I love listening to music of all different genres. I also really enjoy watching movies. I haven't done any college yet, but I love science and I've always liked building things, so I hope to one day have an occupation doing something along those lines after I graduate from college. I am also very excited for when I find the woman I want to marry, because I am excited to have a family and be a good father to my children that will raise them in the gospel and teach them to love Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is Christ's church restored on the Earth again. I know that Joseph Smith, through the help of heavenly messengers, translated the Book of Mormon and I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and I've always felt his spirit when I read it and it testifies that the Book of Mormon is true. And if the Book of Mormon is true, then I know that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet of God and that he restored Christ's church back on the Earth again. I know that there are living prophets here on the Earth today and that they are the head of this wonderful church. I am so grateful for the restored gospel and all the promises and blessing that come with it if we chose to follow Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and do our best to be like them. I know that if I do what is right, then someday after I pass away, I will be able to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the teachings of Christ and striving to be the best person I can be. Like I mentioned before I'm not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I know that through Jesus Christ's atoning sacrifice for each and everyone of us, we can repent and be forgiven of our mistakes and move on and continue on our journey to be like him. I also have a strong belief in what we call the Word of Wisdom, which councils us to refrain from drinking strong substances such as alcoholic drinks or tea and coffee. Using tobacco or smoking/using drugs, and I know that by me living without using those substances, I have been protected and blessed for it.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Tyler Curtis
Missionaries will talk to you about Jesus Christ and his Atonement, or his sacrifice and shedding of blood for all of our sins, so that we all may be able to repent of our sins and we forgiven, which is all part of Heavenly Father's eternal plan of salvation, which through this all people may be able to return to him. They will also teach you about how the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored on the earth through modern day revelation from God to prophets, more specifically through the prophet Jospeh Smith and continuing now today.
