Hi I'm Sara

I'm a stay-at-home mom which gives me opportunities to learn what I really want to learn. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the stay-at-home wife and mother that lives out of town in the sticks. I feel grateful for the opportunity to stay out of the busy life of the city and avoid those distractions. Although it is hard to be "away" from the hustle and bustle, I feel peace surround me when I step outside my doorstep and take in my yard and scenery. My husband and I have three children and we are happy to give them a life that is on the side of rare. I plan my weeks to include one day into "town" to volunteer at my children's school (something my mom did that I always wanted to do), go shopping and run an assortment of errands. Making life simple is one of my goals so I don't miss important things. I love being outside hiking, biking, camping and having fun!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I seek after truth and when there is truth I feel free and I feel happy. I'm a Mormon because I seek happiness. I know happiness comes from living the gospel. As a mother, I'm a Mormon because I NEED the guidance of the Holy Ghost to help me in my day to day life, hour to hour. Raising children is a HUGE responsibility and leading and teaching children is difficult even with a supportive husband. I am a Mormon because I don't want to be alone. I know I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and cares about the most simple things in my life. I'm never alone. I am a Mormon because I want to help others. I want others to find the same happiness that I have because of the knowledge the gospel brings. I'm a Mormon because I believe we need a Savior and Jesus Christ gave the ultimate gift of the atonement for our sins. I'm not perfect and I need our Savior.

How I live my faith

I am the wolf den leader for the Cub Scouts in my community. I am grateful I am able to serve young boys and help them grow in the opportunities they have in the world. I know that scouting is a wonderful gift to those boys and allows them to be better people. I volunteer at my children's school so I can help their teachers and also see how my kids interact while at school. I serve as a Visiting Teacher and my partner and I have the same attitude when we visit our three women. We want them to know we love and care about them in their lives and spirituality. We take two of our women to the temple each month since their husbands are not active in the church or not members. We have family night each Monday night where the kids use the Friend magazine to teach the lesson. We read scriptures every night and pray as a family. We use the picture friendly scriptures during the week and read out of the Book of Mormon on Sundays. My husband and I work hard on our marriage because we want to grow together. We read scriptures and pray together every day. We try to implement the teachings in The Proclamation to the Family to help define our roles to support each other. I dress modestly and make sure my children do too. I don't watch rated R movies and I don't swear. I try to be a good example to my kids.
