Hi I'm Riana

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, I'm Riana. I am a recent convert to the church. I am blessed. I am loved. I am happy. And I am looking forward to going back to school in January. Thanks to the BYU-I pathways program I can finally start finishing my education!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for so many reasons. The LDS church has shown me a kind and loving Heavenly Father. They have taught me how much my savior has done for me. They have shown me that the Fall of Adam & Eve was meant to happen. They have shown me that I have a purpose in this life; to become like Heavenly Father so that I can return to live with him someday! Since joining the Church my happiness has been off the charts. Life is utterly amazing. I am growing and learning new things every day! Before I joined the Church I was happy. But it was never a lasting happiness. It was all based on temporal things, nothing eternal. I always seemed happy because I was always finding something to keep that happiness alive. Now I never have to search again. If I start to feel down; I pray. I open my scriptures. I think of a blessing. I put on uplifting music. The short version of my conversion: The sister missionaries found me at the end of January 2012. They invited me to institute, which is dinner and scripture classes for people my age, so between 18 & 30. I went the following Wednesday which happened to fall on my mother's birthday! I felt so loved and accepted that I had to learn more. I started having lessons with the sisters. I joined about a month later. During that month, I was reading through the book of Mormon they gave me and an NIV Bible my mother had lent me. I kept asking in the back of my mind if they church was true and if this is the path I should take. God was whispering to me...Yes. When I finally got down to actually praying about it, the response was...Yes, Now Stop Asking Me! Joining the church was the best decision I ever made!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by just being be. I smile. I laugh. I read my scriptures and write in a journal. I live my faith by praying & thanking God every chance I get. I live my faith by doing my best to do what the Lord asks me to do. I go to church. I go to almost activity. I go to the temple every chance I get! I surround my self with the amazing friends I have made since joining the church. I serve them in my callings and I try to be a good visiting teacher.
