Hi I'm Mary

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom, a Early Childhood Teacher and a Preschool Cook. I love cooking and children so decided to combine my loves. Every weekday I get to cook for many underprivledged and low income children! After work I get to spend time with my children who are still at home, their interests have become my interests, band, music, choir and drama! I enjoy nothing more then seeing my children and all the children I come in contact with happy! Sharing a little sunshine either on a plate or with my smile makes my day!

Why I am a Mormon

Several years ago I met a new friend we spoke on the phone and he shared his testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I fell in love with this friend and married him! He wasn't active in the church but did have a testimony of it! We were busy raising my son and then with our two children, through a job change we moved to a new area and he decided it was time to go to church. At the time we had two small children a toddler and an infant and he became dedicated enough to take them to church too! His bishop and his counselors, and some men from the church visited us often! I was a little surprised at their commitment, but they kept coming even when I wasn't always receptive. Then my husband lost his job and his bishop and the church took care of my family for a short time! I couldn't believe this they really didn't know me, I knew this what our savior would do if he was on the earth today. So I decided to attend church with him and the kids and our older son. After several months of attending I was challenged by a teenage girl to read the book of Mormon she said it would change my life...She was right I know after reading the book of Sacred Scripture that the gospel and priesthood of Jesus Christ has been restored on the earth in these Latter Days, that Jesus lives and that Heavenly Father loves me because I am his daughter.

How I live my faith

I have had the oppurtunity to work in many programs of the church since joining the church. But none are more important then the work I do in my home. Having family prayer, family scritpture study, family home evening or family night, sharing my testimony with my children that is work that will change lives, I witnessed this as I sent my oldest son to serve as a missionary, and heard of his story as he shared the restored gospel with others. There has been nothing more rewarding then having your children be on an errand for the Lord. To have your family forever is a reality and it is what I trying to do as I believe, obey and endure...
