Hi I'm Meg Jeffries

High school junior, 17 years old, activist, dreamer, sports fanatic, an extreme health nut. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I'm Meg Jeffries...just Meg. :) I'm very active. I play volleyball, basketball, and polevault and run in track. I'm verryy outgoing and loud, but I'm pretty shy the first time you meet me. I have amazing friends who love to have a good time. On the weekends you can find me at a sporting event, TP-ing the bishop's house, having movie nights with the boys and girls in the ward, or cruising the town. It's a good thing I don't have a curfew. haha. I'm a girly girl, I like to do people's makeup, plan weddings, and do hair. Sometimes I'll join the young men and play mud volleyball to remind myself that I once was a tom-boy. Music = my life. I am a BIG fan of hip-hop and rap, but I'm in love with pretty much anything. I don't read much because I always get halfway through and stop reading. I was able to finish the Hunger Games trilogy....best books ever. Read 'em in 3 days! I'm such a girl when it comes to movies. I love romantic comedies, but the thrillers never seem to let me down. I'm planning on attending Utah Valley University the fall of 2013. I'm looking forward to study dental hygiene and phsycology. I plan on going to Africa the summer after my first year of college. Here I will volunteer at local orphanage. Sometime soon after finishing my schooling, I plan to join the Peace Corps and live in Africa for two years. One of my biggest dreams is to open a dental clinic there.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know the truthfulness of this great church. My parents divorced when I was very little and it has been a big testimony builder to see the blessings that my mom has continued to recieve because of her humbleness to be active in this church. I have a testimony of prayer and of the scriptures. As I continue to read my scriptures every night, and pray often, I will recieve many blessings and my testimony will continue to grow. I have a testimony of the prophet, and I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet. I know that Joseph Smith was sent here to the earth to restore the gospel and to rebuild the church. I'm so greatful for my leaders, bishopric, and my stake leaders. I know that they were ordained as leaders of this church by my Heavenly Father. I have a testimony of Patriarcal Blessings and the light that they bring into the lives of many people. I'm greatful for my family and friends and the support they give to me each and every day. I'm thankful for the opportunity to learn about the Old Testament this year in seminary. This has helped my testimony grow so much as I read about the prophets of old. I am a mormon because it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

Every single day I leave my house for seminary and remind myself that I am a daughter of God. I make an effort to reach out to nonmembers and say hello. I attend church and young women activities regularly. Once a month I participate in a service activity. I pray and read my scriptures every night.
