Hi I'm Shawn

I'm a convert to the LDS Church and a former Marine. I also am an active father of four, Deputy Sheriff and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I joined the LDS Church when I was 21 years old and I was an active duty Marine stationed in California. I love to play sports of all kinds but my main interests are football and lacrosse. I enjoy music and playing with my kids. I have just recently decided to go back to school to finish my degree. I am a Deputy Sheriff and I patrol the streets serving the residents of my juristiction.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I learned about the church and I recieved a confirmation through the spirit that it was the right thing to do. I love the church I feel it has kept my family together and I think it helps me to be the best father and husband that I can. The church is a place of comfort and belonging and it just makes sense. I know the church is Jesus Christ's church and he has a plan for us.In my profession I truly know and understand that the gospel is the key to surviving everyday while working the streets of my jusitiction. In Law Enforcement there are alot of negative influences and by having the companionship of the holy spirit I know that I can overcome negative influences and I can be an example to those around me.

How I live my faith

I try and get to my ward as much as possible because of my work schedule but when I do I realize how wonderful it is to be at church. I starting to help with the scouting program and I am so excited. I love the environment at church and it feels so good to be filled by the spirit to get through another week.
