Hi I'm Whitney

I love playing basketball, eating yummy foods, and spending time with the people I love. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a junior in high school, and am on my school's basketball team. I love basketball season and all of the fun things that come with it. I have 3 sisters that are some of my closest friends, and a cute little brother. I love ice cream and chocolate, and barbecued hamburgers in the summer. School is not my favorite, but I love the friends I have there. After high school I plan on going to college, and eventually getting married in the temple to a righteous return missionary. My dream is to be the mom of cute little kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace and comfort I am able to feel because I know that I have a Father in Heaven, an all knowing God watching over me. It brings me so much joy to know that I am His daughter, and that he loves me perfectly. One of the most amazing things that comes from my religion is that I know that God shares all my concerns, hears me when I cry, and strengthens me in every difficult situation I go through. I know that His hand is always reaching for me, and that He will never leave me alone no matter what. It is humbling to me that He loves me unconditionally, and that He is able to love all of His children, this way. The gospel gives me an extra push in life. Instead of going through life with no real idea of who I am, I am able to continually become better and reach my full potential as a daughter of God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading my scriptures every night. I have found that so many concerns or questions I have are answered in the scriptures. I also pray night and morning that I can have the light of Christ with me. In doing this, I hope that people are more easily able to see Christ and know that He loves them. I go to church every Sunday, and participate in young women activities once a week. I try to go to the temple as often as possible. In the temple I draw nearer to Christ, and I am able to feel His love and spirit surround me. The church makes me want to always live right in every situation I encounter so that my Father in Heaven can be proud of me.
