Hi I'm Kenneth Hawkins

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been an engineer, a dairy farmer, and a shcool teacher. I have enjoyed hiking camping and being in the out of doors. 7 total hip replacements over the past several years has restricted some of my outdoor activity however I still enjoy planting and growing a garden each year and sharing the produce with others. My wife and I have a family of 9 children which we are very proud of and much of our time is spent with them and our 20+ grandchildren. Today I am retired and spend a lot of time in the garden and in my wood shop. I enjoy building furniture and toys. Life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I was born to mormon parents who were also born to mormon parents who were also born to mormon parents who were also born to mormon parents who joined the church in England and then traveled to the United States and traveled to Utah in a wagon train. But why I am still a Mormon is because I have studied and prayed and it has been made known to me the the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and is the only church upon the earth that has the authority administer the ordinances necessary for salvation.

How I live my faith

My faith keeps me busy I currently serve as a member of my ward Bishopric which gives me the opportunity to work with the youth as well as the other members. It is a rewarding calling that takes considerable time. I love my work in the church. My day begins with my wife and I having family prayer together and ends with us each kneeling by our bed in personal prayer with our Father in Heaven.
