Hi I'm Jenny

I'm a wife, mother, flight attendant and lifestyle/fashion blogger. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of two young children. I work part-time as a flight attendant for a regional airline. This allows me to fulfill one of my biggest passions in life: traveling! In my free time I enjoy blogging and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a household with strong moral values and a belief in Christianity, but my family didn't belong to a specific church. When I was 19 the missionaries helped me discover the true Gospel and I made the decision to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am now married with two children and I love that we are able to be together for all eternity. I have a testimony that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that we can be with our Heavenly Father again one day.

How I live my faith

I love feeling the Spirit when I attend church. However, living my faith doesn't only happen on Sundays! My goal is to follow the LDS Church's 13th Article of Faith, which states "We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." I am not perfect, but I strive to learn more about the Gospel, strengthen my testimony and be a better person!

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Jenny
Modesty and chastity go hand in hand. We need to respect the bodies that we were blessed with. When we dress in revealing clothing it can send inappropriate signals to the opposite sex, which can lead to breaking the law of chastity. It is not easy being a young adult in today's society. There is so much pressure from peers, as well as the media, to dress in a way that brings more attention to a woman's body than who she is as a person. I think it is important to help children understand that they should dress and act modestly to respect their Heavenly Father, invite the Spirit, and show other people their inner beauty. I also think it is important to show young women that you can cover up and be fashionable at the same time! Show more Show less
