Hi I'm Vanessa

I'm a fun person, a Native American and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle child of five. I have been a member of this church my whole life and have loved every minute of it. I am a half Native American. I belong to the Navajo tribe, and am probably the "whitest" Indian out there. I don't know the Navajo language; I'm working on learning it though. I have about two words down =] I love to play sports. I'm not very good at most of them, so I play more for fun. My favorites would have to be kickball, softball and volleyball. I love to hangout with my friends and do random acts of kindness. I am going to school to become a teacher. My goal is to become a special education teacher. Children are my life they are the funniest and boldest people that you will ever meet. I think that is pretty much me in a nut shell =]

Why I am a Mormon

Even thou i have been a member my whole life, i have that thought run through my mind of is this really true. So i took it upon myself to ask of God like it says in James 1:5. Like Joesph Smith i was around the age of 14 and a freshmen in High School. in the middle of lunch it dawned on me, this of course after a few days. I could see myself acting one way to be in the "in" crowd and then when I got away from the circle I would act way different. It took about a week for me to realize what a great blessing it was to have the gospel in my life. After I made the decision not to change who I am to be in the "in" crowd. My friends would ask me, for an example, why I had stopped swearing because I had done it before, and it was bad. It was easy to tell them that I felt that I had no need to. Once I followed the Gospel 100% I could see all the blessing and happiness it brought to my life. I have been trying to follow the Gospel 100% from the day on. I love it and i want to bring that same happiness that I have to other people.

How I live my faith

I try to live as if I am the only Book of Mormon that people will ever read. I try my best to follow all that the Lord commands of me, which is never easy because we are not perfect, i mean come on we are human. I do know that He knows whats in my heart and loves me. He also will give me opportunities to live with him again.
