Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am small town kid who is serving a mission in Las Vegas! I love Swimming and Water polo, being in the outdoors, and playing and listening to music, especially Rock, I love being with my family and living the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because throughout my life where Heavenly Father has taught me that this is where I need to be. Through his Spirit he has whispered the truth of His Gospel. My parents also taught me the Gospel when I was young and let me decide what to do. I love being Mormon because life is so peaceful. Having a sure Knowledge of My Savior and His Plan for all of us helps me to put the "big things" into perspective. Even though there are times in life where we make poor choices Heavenly Father is always there offering his hand out to us to lift us up. It is a beautiful thing to feel my Heavenly Father's love and for the simple things he give us everyday. I am Mormon because living the Gospel inspires me to be the best I can be!

How I live my faith

Currently I am on a mission teaching others about His Gospel. I try to be the best example that I can be by trying to be as Christlike as I can to God's children. I love going to all the activities in the Church and seeking opportunities to serve others around me. I also have ample openings to play the piano for Church services.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Tyler
Families are important to Mormons for a wide variety of reasons. One reason that is close to my heart is the fact that families help us to learn and apply Gospel principals. It is in a family that we can learn to treat others as Christ would and find ways to serve people in the little ways. I am grateful for my loving earthly parents who taught us this and showed us by example how my siblings and I could find the most happiness in this life. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Tyler
We believe that the call to go on a mission is a Priesthood duty asked of us from the Lord. We still, however, have the ability to exercise our free will to answer the Lord's call or not. I would love to add that serving a mission is one of the best things that anyone could do in their lifetime. The lessons we learn, the qualities we obtain, and the things that humble us on a mission will do wonders for anyone in bringing them closer to our Heavenly Father and our Savior. Serving as a representative of Christ can really drive one to seek His will and to do our best to emulate our Savior to those around us. It helps us learn to do as the Savior taught and forget about ourselves and put the interests and well being of others before our own. It lays a foundation in the lives of young men to do good and be a source of good in the world as the Saviors asks. In all a mission allows us to step away from the world and learn about truly living the Gospel with less distractions. Show more Show less
