Hi I'm Tinam Gilmea

I am from Yap Micronesia and I'm a Junior in Social Work at the Brigham Young University of Hawaii College. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to choreograph dancing, involve in a lot of social work. Photography is also my passion. I dance in the Tahitian Village at the Polynesian Culture Center.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I know deep down my soul that the Savior and His Father truly lives. I know that God Hears me, especially in my darkest moments when i kneel sincerely before Him. I believe in Him, I love Him so deeply.

How I live my faith

By following examples of those i look up to. One of whom is my younger sister Gina. By reading my scriptures at least 30 min a day. Sincerely and openly communicating with my Father in Heaven.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Tinam Gilmea
We can increase our faith in Christ by centering our lives in His examples. He is full of grace, mercy, love, forgiveness and gratitude. He is willing to lift others up and be there for them. He is full of kindness and always willing to listen and comfort those who are in pain and sorrow. He has helped me personally recognize the importance of the Holy Ghost and why it is necessary that I pay attention to its promptings when it speaks to me from time to time. I use to think its silly when people testify the power of the Holy Ghost and how Christ has been their great comforter and guidance,. Not until I went through an experience that changed my life around and made me realize the importance of recognizing the love of Christ and atoning sacrifices through the Holy Spirit. Those experiences and choices I made helped me realize the importance of having faith in Christ., because when I do have faith, It is easier to stand up from a situation and kept on moving forward, learning from past experience, apply and move on from lessons I learned.., Show more Show less
